History

Capitol Office Solutions (COS) was founded in 1976 and is the largest digital imaging copier and printer dealer in the Metro Washington area. In 1998, COS was acquired by Global Imaging Systems, a national provider of document imaging systems with a unique philosophy; “Think Globally, Act Locally.” Over Capitol Office Solutions' 30 year history we have become the elite sales and service provider of document imaging solutions and partner with key industry leaders, such as Kyocera and Hewlett Packard. We are the national leader in Print Management Assessment and delivery of creative solutions yielding cost reduction and increasing productivity of document output devices to both large and small companies. Our Printegration™ assessment process has helped dozens of companies improve their operation and save money. In 2007, Global was acquired by Xerox and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox. This acquisition positions COS to provide its customers with the superior technology from the entire family of Xerox products with the local technical and administrative support that has made our reputation second to none. Our customers now have access to Xerox leading industry technology coupled with localized best in class sales and support at competitive market value they have come to experience from Capitol Office Solutions.

COS has a proven and dedicated commitment to the Baltimore/Washington community and works with several philanthropic organizations including Grassroots, a local homeless shelter and crisis intervention center. Our employees have given their time and talents to serve dinners to the homeless and have coordinated the collection of items to donate such as school supplies and special holiday gift giving. We also raised $10,000 for Goodwill Industries of Greater Washington, D.C.
